About Us

History

Shri Vishnubhai Purushottamdas Mistry envisioned establishing an educational trust with the noble purpose of uniting community members and supporting the new generation of students in higher education. To realize this vision, the Mandal was founded on 9 August 1992.

The inaugural meeting was attended by Shri Vishnubhai Mistry, Late Shri Tribhovandas Suthar (Khankuwa), and Late Shri Atulbhai Chandubhai Mistry. The meeting was conducted under the leadership of Shri Kantibhai Suthar. The formal establishment of the Kelavani Mandal was marked by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries present.

During the meeting, the Chairman of Anand Mercantile Bank, Late Shri Jivankaka, graced the occasion. He contributed ₹2,501 as the Mandal's very first donation and blessed the institution. A total of 76 members attended the initial meeting, of whom 28 paid their membership fees. It was resolved to constitute a new executive committee and appoint a President and Secretary every three years.

Educational Activities & Assistance

Every year, considering the financial circumstances of deserving students, the Mandal provides financial aid for tuition fees. Notebooks and educational supplies are also made available below cost price to assist students in their studies.

Based on academic results, top three students in each standard from Grade 1 to 12 are felicitated with awards. Consolation prizes are awarded to other students. College students are also recognized and awarded under similar criteria.

Community Service & Honors

Retired teachers and government officers from the community are felicitated. Beginning in 2024, a special initiative was introduced to honor talented community members achieving notable milestones in diverse fields.

A Sneh Milan gathering is organized annually after Diwali. Furthermore, the celebration of Shri Vishwakarma Pragatya Divas has also commenced on the auspicious occasion of Shri Vishwakarma Teras.
